Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a significant impact in the lives of high school students by supporting their academic and emotional growth! A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to provide school psychologist services in a vibrant educational setting. This full-time position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027, maintaining consistent daytime hours from 7:30AM to 3:00PM.
Essential qualifications:
Active School Psychologist licensure for Illinois Previous experience working with high school students preferred Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, parents, and caregivers Must be available to work onsite throughout the assignment Key responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results Collaborating with faculty and families to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Supporting high school students' academic, social, and emotional well-being Participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings and providing recommendations Delivering group and individual counseling sessions as needed Assisting in implementing school-wide programs to promote positive behavior and safe learning environments Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation Experience the rewards of working with a manageable caseload of around 30 high school students, allowing you to provide individualized attention and make meaningful connections.
