Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a lasting difference in the lives of K-12 students as a valued School Psychologist on a contract basis. Serving across two schools, you'll provide crucial psychological services and support to a diverse caseload of 63 students, helping foster positive educational outcomes near Mayetta, KS. This role begins August 3, 2026, and offers a steady 21-hour-per-week schedule during the academic year, making it an excellent fit for professionals seeking a balance between impactful work and personal flexibility.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Experience working in K-12 educational settings Strong knowledge of special education processes, including evaluations, re-evaluations, and intervention strategies Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families Ability to provide consultation and guidance regarding pre-referral interventions and discipline processes
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and 3-year re-evaluations to determine students' special education needs Offer consultation on pre-referral interventions to promote student success in the classroom Participate in manifestation determination hearings related to disciplinary actions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and administrators, to develop effective strategies and recommendations for student support Maintain thorough documentation to comply with legal and district standards Enjoy the professional fulfillment of shaping students' educational journeys while collaborating closely with thoughtful teams and supportive school staff.
