Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a contract School Psychologist in the Holton, Kansas area. This role supports K-12 students across two school locations, providing essential psychological services and collaborating closely with education teams. Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification and licensure as a School Psychologist Prior experience serving K-12 student populations preferred Knowledgeable in administering initial and triennial evaluations Skilled in consulting on pre-referral interventions and manifestation determination hearings Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a moderate caseload (approx. 63 students) Adaptable communicator, comfortable partnering with school staff, families, and external agencies
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for initial and three-year re-evaluations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide recommendations based on assessment results Advise staff and parents on pre-referral intervention strategies to support students' success in the classroom Participate in manifestation determination meetings stemming from disciplinary incidents, offering insight and recommendations Support a positive learning environment by promoting effective behavioral and mental health strategies Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with special education regulations Take advantage of a contract schedule with 21 hours per week—ideal for those seeking a balanced workload and professional growth.
