Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in school psychology to a rewarding contract opportunity near Muncie, IN! This position offers the chance to make a lasting impact on students' lives across a diverse K-12 population. As one of two professionals selected for this vital role, you'll work district-wide in an onsite setting, providing support where it is needed most. Your workdays will follow one of two set schedules (either 8:50 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 2:20 PM), totaling 35 hours each week. You'll collaborate with school staff, administration, and families to advocate for student success, conduct assessments, and develop intervention strategies.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist Proven experience working in K-12 educational settings Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Knowledge of special education law, IEP processes, and crisis intervention techniques Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Adaptability to serve a district-wide caseload with varying needs Passion for fostering student mental health and educational achievement
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and interpret psychological and academic assessments Participate in IEP meetings and develop collaborative intervention strategies Provide individual and group counseling for students Work closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Offer crisis intervention and support for students and staff Maintain thorough and timely documentation and case records Promote positive social, emotional, and behavioral development This is a unique chance to contribute meaningfully to the school community while advancing your professional skills.
