Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in the lives of K-12 students as a dedicated professional providing psychological services in a dynamic school setting. This full-time, contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, working directly with students and school teams to ensure assessment needs are met and the best learning outcomes achieved. Required Qualifications & Experience:
Hold a valid South Carolina School Psychologist II credential or higher Prior experience conducting evaluations and assessments within K-12 education settings Knowledge of special education processes, eligibility determination, and compliance requirements Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff Strong communication, organization, and report writing skills
Key Responsibilities:
Complete psychoeducational assessments, including cognitive, academic, and behavioral evaluations for students across K-12 grades Interpret and present assessment data to support eligibility and intervention planning Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student needs, strategies, and support options Participate as an active member of multidisciplinary teams, contributing insights and expertise during eligibility meetings Assist with crisis intervention and provide recommendations for mental health supports when needed
