Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful school-based contract opportunity supporting high school students as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position allows you to make a meaningful difference each day, working onsite with a focused caseload of approximately 30 students. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027, offering stable, weekday hours from 7:30AM to 3:00PM that promote work-life balance.
Candidate Qualifications:
Active School Psychologist license in Illinois is required Previous experience working with high school-aged students preferred Comprehensive knowledge of evaluation, assessment, and the development of intervention strategies for students Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families Must be available for onsite services throughout the duration of the contract
Position Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive psychological services to high school students Conduct evaluations, psychological assessments, and interpret results to support educational planning Provide crisis intervention, individualized support, and consultation to staff and families Participate in meetings, including IEP/504 plan development and implementation Collaborate with educators and other professionals to foster a positive educational environment
