Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a significant impact supporting students' communication skills as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fostering student growth, values collaboration, and is eager to provide expertise in speech and language therapy for learners with diverse needs.
Essential Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other service providers Organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students with a variety of communication disorders Conduct assessments and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals for each student Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and report on outcomes Consult with teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies into classroom routines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical recommendations for academic plans Provide resources and guidance to parents and caregivers to support progress at home Stay current on best practices and compliance standards in speech-language pathology This contract position provides an opportunity to work in a supportive educational setting near Waelder, TX, delivering meaningful services that help students succeed.
