Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-6th grade students with speech and language needs in a contract-based role for the full 2026-2027 school year. This position is tailored for a talented Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding CCC credentials, passionate about providing direct, in-person therapy, as the school shifts away from virtual service models. You'll work onsite two days per week (14 hours total), bringing hands-on support and expertise to a vibrant educational environment. Your skills will be instrumental in helping young learners overcome communication barriers and succeed academically and socially. This school community values commitment, seeking an SLP dedicated to consistency and engaged support, given the unique location.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) Valid licensure as required for school-based practice in New York Previous experience with K-6th grade populations preferred Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech/language disorders within a school setting Professional reliability, ready for a consistent, onsite schedule throughout the school yearPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy and related services to K-6 students Conduct evaluations and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families for student success Maintain detailed records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings Provide guidance to teachers and caregivers regarding student communication needsWhat You'll Gain:
