Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an exciting full-time contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This rewarding role will provide vital speech and language services across both an elementary and a middle school setting. With a diverse caseload of 50 students, you'll play an essential role in helping children build communication skills, boost confidence, and reach their full academic potential. You'll have the benefit of working a consistent school schedule, with your day beginning at either 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM and wrapping up by mid-afternoon. The assignment begins August 24th, giving you time to prepare and make a meaningful impact from day one.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Prior experience in school-based settings (elementary, middle, or both)
  • Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of 50 students
  • Comfortable working with a variety of ages and communication challenges
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct speech, language, and communication interventions
  • Evaluate students' needs, create individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress
  • Consult with multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
  • Split your time between elementary and middle school environments
