Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact during the 2026-2027 school year as a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting a preschool caseload in an elementary school environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced SLP, helping young learners achieve critical communication milestones. The role is situated near Penn Valley, CA, within a vibrant and collaborative educational community. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week with a daily half-hour unpaid lunch break. The assignment is set for August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027, aligning with the academic calendar for a seamless school-based experience.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Current credential or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Experience or training in a school-based setting, preferably with preschoolers Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to support SLP in therapy sessions, data collection, and materials preparation Passion for working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and carry out assigned intervention strategies Collaborate with teaching staff and specialists to support student progress Maintain accurate records and document student responses and improvements Prepare therapy materials and assist with classroom integration
