Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving elementary-aged students in a contract role based near Lake Hughes, California. This opportunity provides the chance to work with a diverse group of students from transitional kindergarten through 5th grade, with a typical caseload of about 60. You'll address a broad spectrum of speech and language needs, from general education to moderate and severe cases. Your expertise will guide students toward greater communication confidence and academic success. Qualifications and Experience Valid SLP credential; Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Experience within a school setting strongly preferred Comfortable overseeing the full range of speech services, including direct therapy, conducting IEPs, and comprehensive assessments/evaluations Familiarity with elementary caseloads; able to manage varied needs from mild to severe CTC credential is preferred but not required Strong organizational skills for paperwork and service delivery Effective communicator and collaborator with teachers, staff, and families Key Responsibilities Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students in grades TK-5 Conduct assessments, write reports, and participate actively in IEP meetings Develop and implement individualized plans targeting language, articulation, and fluency goals Monitor progress, maintain compliance with documentation, and provide recommendations for continued support Serve as a resource for educational staff and parents regarding intervention strategies Adapt instructional methods to meet a variety of student communication needs Work collaboratively across special and general education environments If you're passionate about helping young learners reach their full communication potential, don't miss this rewarding contract opportunity.
