Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity designed for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants seeking hands-on experience in a vibrant TK-12 district. This role covers the academic year from August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and is within easy reach of the scenic Lake Hughes area. The district serves approximately 3,650 students across multiple sites, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for professionals who are passionate about helping students achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid SLPA license in the state of California Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong organizational and communication abilities Ability to collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists, educators, and families Flexibility to work across multiple school sites as needed
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals by delivering targeted interventions Document student progress and maintain accurate treatment records Support screening and assessment procedures as directed Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds This contract role presents a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a district that values student success and professional growth.
