Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role providing essential support to students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming full school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate within a caring educational environment while making a positive impact on student communication skills. Work full-time hours in a supportive atmosphere and contribute your expertise to help learners achieve their speech and language goals.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure Experience supporting speech-language goals in a school or healthcare setting Familiarity with evidence-based interventions for speech and language development Strong communication skills for liaising with SLPs, educators, administrators, and families Ability to collect and document data effectively Commitment to ethical practices and student confidentiality Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy and interventions as outlined by supervising SLP Support the implementation of IEPs for students with speech or language needs Assist in screening and assessment activities under SLP supervision Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions Track student progress and report findings to the SLP and educational team Engage in regular communication with teachers and parents to support student success Participate in ongoing professional development as required This is a unique chance to gain valuable experience working alongside speech-language professionals and helping students thrive.
