Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. This dynamic role is located near the welcoming La Vernia area, offering the chance to make a direct, positive impact in an educational setting. Bilingual skill proficiency is essential for this position, as you'll be collaborating closely with diverse populations to enhance their communication skills and overall learning experience.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active SLPA license required Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must Previous experience in a school environment strongly preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative abilities Knowledge of speech-language development and best practices in school settings Ability to adapt strategies to meet student needs and support IEP goals
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Assist in implementing individualized education plans for students Gather and document student data to track progress toward communication goals Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and families to ensure continuity of care and effective interventions Prepare therapy materials and adapt activities for individual or small group sessions Participate in team meetings and professional development activities throughout the school year You'll experience a nurturing, student-centered work environment and have the unique privilege of helping students thrive academically and socially.
