Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) contract opportunity in the dynamic Renton, WA area for the 2026-2027 school year! We are seeking two dedicated SLPs to deliver high-quality services and help elementary students reach essential communication milestones. Position 1 offers a full academic year engagement, running from September 1, 2026, through June 17, 2027. Position 2 is a maternity leave assignment starting in September and extending through January, possibly longer, for the right candidate. Both roles provide a consistent schedule of 35 hours each week, serving a caseload of 45 students within supportive elementary school environments. You'll have the chance to collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families, making a measurable difference every day.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Washington SLP license and ASHA CCCs At least one year of prior SLP experience within a school setting preferred Skilled in conducting assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy to meet IEP goals Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills SLPAs not accepted for these positions
Core Responsibilities:
Manage a balanced elementary school caseload, providing direct and consultative speech-language therapy Conduct comprehensive evaluations and maintain detailed service records Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success Engage and communicate effectively with families and staff regarding student needs and progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to educational planning These contract assignments offer a stable weekday routine with a 7-hour workday and dedicated lunch break.
