Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting a local district as a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026 school year. This full-time opportunity is designed to cover a maternity leave, ensuring consistent, high-quality speech and language services for students in need. The assignment spans August 3, 2026 through October 9, 2026, offering a set schedule and guaranteed hours during the duration of the contract.
Key Qualifications:
Active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY) Experience or strong interest in working within school settings Strong understanding of both direct therapy and indirect consultative services Skill in evaluating, diagnosing, and creating treatment plans for students with communication needs Effective communication and collaborative skills to partner with teachers, parents, and other multidisciplinary staff
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy and provide indirect support services to assigned student caseloads Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and district regulations Conduct assessments, maintain timely documentation, and communicate progress Collaborate closely with faculty while focusing solely on contracted SLP duties—no additional school responsibilities like bus or pick-up duty required Benefit from pay that applies to both direct services and your critical indirect work Travel therapists may qualify for stipends to assist with temporary relocation
