Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an impactful and rewarding contract position supporting students from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade within a vibrant district serving approximately 3,650 learners. This opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) ready to enhance communication outcomes across a diverse student body. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering the chance to make a real difference throughout the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid California SLPA license or eligibility Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation Compassion, flexibility, and a positive, student-centered approach Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language services in accordance with students' IEPs under SLP supervision Support screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring Provide direct and indirect services individually and in small groups Assist with materials preparation and data collection Collaborate with the educational team to support student success Document therapy sessions and progress notes diligently
