Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students' communication and language development across a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This onsite opportunity invites an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide vital services at multiple school sites throughout the district for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you'll work school hours, 35 hours per week, from August 18, 2026, to May 27, 2027. Your expertise will directly impact students from kindergarten through high school, helping them achieve academic and personal success through improved speech and language skills. The diverse caseload spans a variety of speech/language needs, keeping each day engaging and impactful.
What You'll Bring:
Active Pennsylvania SLP Certification Valid PA Teaching Certification (must be submitted with resume) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Previous K-12 school-based SLP experience preferred Strong assessment, therapy, and documentation skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Flexibility to travel between school sites within the district
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for K-12 students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver direct therapy services in-person (no virtual provision) Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district and state regulations Provide consultative support to classroom teachers
