Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a school-based setting as a speech-language pathologist (SLP). This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse K-12 caseload, providing both direct and consultative speech and language services. The assignment is full-time, with 37.5 hours scheduled each week, offering structured, consistent workdays.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Previous experience with school-aged children preferred, though strong clinical skills and a passion for working in educational settings are highly valued Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough speech and language assessments, interpret results, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct therapy services to students with varied needs across K-12 grade levels Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, administrators, and families to support student development Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and required documentation Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams Consult with school personnel on strategies to support student communication and access to the curriculum This role offers exposure to a range of student needs while working within a supportive educational community.
