Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication and academic success as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based environment near Newton, NC. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping children reach their full potential, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to make a lasting impact.
Desired Background/Qualifications:
Active SLP license in North Carolina Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
Administer assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Provide direct therapy services individually and in groups within the educational setting Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure student progress Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Working as a contract SLP in this school setting offers meaningful, people-centered work and the chance to truly connect with students and their support networks.
