Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding part-time contract role supporting K-8 students within a general education school setting for the remainder of the school year. Begin working as soon as possible through the end of June, assisting students in developing their communication abilities and achieving their full academic potential. With a flexible schedule of 2-3 days per week, this opportunity fits well for professionals seeking balance and impactful work.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure as an SLP or eligibility to obtain one Previous experience with school-aged children, especially in K-8 settings Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services in group and one-on-one settings Maintain accurate records and document progress in compliance with state and federal regulations Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and staff collaboration Offer ongoing support and resources to classroom teachers and families
