Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an enriching school-based opportunity supporting students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this contract position, you'll collaborate with dedicated professionals making a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students. You'll play a key role in providing vital speech and language services throughout the school year, fostering communication skills that are foundational for academic and social success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active SLPA license or certification in the state Previous experience working in a school setting preferred Ability to work effectively with diverse K-12 student populations Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to supporting speech-language goals as directed by supervising
SLPs Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, as directed by licensed SLPs Deliver direct speech and language therapy under supervision Support classroom teachers with strategies to nurture communication development Collect and maintain detailed data on student progress Participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams and provide input on student needs Communicate regularly with supervising SLPs, educators, and families to support student outcomes
