SCHOOL TOUR PROGRAM MANAGER JOB
DESCRIPTIONSchool Tour Program Manager Responsibilities:
The School Tour Program Managers primary role is to design and deliver an authentic agricultural experience that nurtures connections between children and agriculture. The School Tour Program Manager is responsible for guiding and supporting children in Pre K-5th grade through educational agricultural activities. The School Tour Program Manager is also responsible for managing the tour team. The School Tour Program Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager of Orchard OperationsThe School Tour Program Manager duties will include, but are not limited to:

Train, supervise, lead and manage the seasonal school tour staff Perform and oversee all aspects of school tours from welcome, check-in support, station rotation, lunch breaks and station deliveryTeach each tour station and tailoring presentations to be age-appropriate including: Classic TourDeluxe TourLead all daily activities as needed, including set-up, inventory, and clean-upSolicit, expand, and update e-mail/mailing list for local schools, daycares, churches, camps, etc.

Update packet and brochure informationAttend weekly farm team/school tour meetingsReview school tour records and determine plans to encourage customer loyaltyReach out to schools to schedule tours in advance of Orchard seasonSend follow up emails and ensure correct date and time reservations are communicated Work with accounting on invoices and POSWork with schools to receive payments in advance and post tours Work within the Chicago Public School portal and acquire certificates needed
Experience/Qualifications:
Experience working with childrenAbility to plan and conduct childrens activities within a designated timelineAbility to engage the attention of large groups and guide them effectivelyAbility to work both as a team player and independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organization skills High energy
Preferred Skills:
CPR certified
SalesforceHours:
School Tour Program Manager works a minimum of 24 hours per week, hours will vary. During Orchard Season additional hours will be required based on operational needs up to 40+ per a week
Salary:
The School Tour Program Manager is a nonexempt, hourly position, with a bonus opportunity during Orchard Season
