55 For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an "at-will" relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Duties:
Enrollee will support natural resource programs in South Idaho Parks Support development, writing, and negotiating agreements for natural resource efforts with universities and partners 30% Develop MOUs or agreements to shift toward a collaborative resource management approach with possible sharing of staff and resources among multiple network parks and/or alternatives outside NPS 20% Provide guidance on development of NR SCC projects including review and QC from beginning to submission. 20% Compliance assistance for updating vegetation management plan 20% Engage with partners on collaborative projects that cross NPS boundaries 10%
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Education in natural resources with minimum additional experience of 5 year(s) Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint
Other:
Overnight travel: Minimal; 1-2 days per month
Safety Gear Use:
Any field PPE other than personal items will be provided if needed. Activities could include field assistance with vegetation and wildlife programs, site visits with collaborators. Physical requirements: Position is primarily office based, with occasional field activities which could include hiking over rough terrain, carrying packs up to 40 lbs, and weather conditions from below freezing to 90+ degrees.
