Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Archaeologist. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to combine fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and technical reporting in a vibrant, collaborative environment. Duties Conduct archaeological excavations at various sites, ensuring adherence to safety and preservation standards Collect and document data using GPS devices, GIS software such as ArcGIS, and other mapping tools for precise site analysis Manage laboratory processing of artifacts, including cleaning, cataloging, and analyzing findings with attention to detail Prepare comprehensive reports detailing research findings, methodologies, and site conditions for stakeholders and publication Supervise team members during fieldwork and laboratory activities, providing guidance on data collection and safety protocols Utilize technical writing skills to produce clear documentation of research procedures and results Collaborate with construction teams to assess archaeological impacts and develop mitigation strategies during development projects Experience Proven laboratory experience in artifact processing or related archaeological work Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping purposes Hands-on experience with GPS technology for precise location tracking during field surveys Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and interpret archaeological findings Demonstrated report writing skills for documenting research activities clearly and professionally Supervisory experience leading field crews or laboratory teams in archaeological projects is preferred Knowledge of construction processes related to excavation or site development is a plus Join us in uncovering the stories of our past while contributing to meaningful preservation efforts! Pay:
$51,544.01 - $62,074.50 per year
