  • Nishimura lab The Nishimura lab in the Department of Pathology seeks a Specialist in the Associate or Full rank.
The responsibilities of this position are: 1) Antibody/protein engineering, including yeast and phage display, antibody library construction, recombinant antibody and protein production at scale. 2) Syngeneic tumor models including histologic analysis, mouse breeding and maintenance. 3) Lung injury models including bleomycin intratracheal delivery, airspace morphometry, bronchoalveolar lavage. 4) General mouse colony maintenance 5) General biochemistry including immunoblotting, protein isolation, cell labeling, immunoprecipitation, mass spectrometry 6) General cell biology including cell culture, cloning, crispr gene knock-out. 7) Immunology basic skills including multicolor immune cell analysis and immune cell sorting.
Required Qualifications:
Associate Specialist
  • Master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience in the relevant specialization. Full Specialist
  • terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience in the relevant specialization.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD, 5 years laboratory experience, evidence of collaborative research abilities, excellent communication skills. See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $75,600
