This is a 9-month academic position with a minimum teaching load of 4 courses (or 12 credit equivalents) in each the fall and spring semester. Opportunities for service and scholarship may also be possible, depending on assignment availability and the candidate's interests. Webster University is in St. Louis, a city known for its rich culture, passionate sports fans, and central location for travel. Saint Louis is a major scientific hub that has had significant growth in the bioeconomy, biotech, and health care fields. Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Candidates who are ABD (All but dissertation) and currently enrolled as a graduate student may be considered in special cases. The candidate is expected to work collaboratively with faculty/staff, mentor students from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and academic backgrounds, and adhere to administrative requirements of an academic teaching position. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise to lead instruction in coursework from the core curriculum of the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics related to areas of instructional need. Course assignments will include General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II, and the corresponding laboratories for Biochemistry and General Chemistry. Other course assignments that align with the candidate's expertise may be considered as needed.
