Job Description

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Therapeutic Protein department to support ongoing programs by purifying and biochemically characterizing protein reagents and antibodies. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative lab environment, ensuring high-quality outputs and clear, timely communication of results. When & where: Location- Tarrytown, 5 days on-site Discover your role: Purify protein reagents and antibodies using standard chromatography platforms and automated systems Perform purification and analytical chromatography, including affinity, ion-exchange (IEX), hydrophobic interaction (HIC), and size-exclusion (SEC) Characterize proteins using Western blotting, SDS-PAGE, SEC, and UV/Vis spectrophotometry Enter, analyze, and document data in Benchling; prepare presentations and summaries for team review Communicate findings clearly and concisely to managers and cross-functional partners This Role May Be for
You If You Have Experience:
Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices Productive and proactive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset Strong time management with the ability to handle multiple priorities The role requires: BS or MS in biology, molecular biology, protein chemistry, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience (industry or academic) Hands-on experience with PCR and sequencing Proficiency in protein characterization techniques (e.g., Western blot, SDS-PAGE, SEC, spectrophotometry) Strong foundation in protein chemistry Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating ÄKTA or comparable chromatography systems and associated software Familiarity with method development and troubleshooting across affinity, IEX, HIC, and SEC workflows Proficiency with Benchling and data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Excel, GraphPad Prism) Experience preparing technical presentations and contributing to cross-functional project discussions Tools & Technologies (a plus): ÄKTA/Unicorn or similar chromatography platforms Benchling and ELN systems UV/Vis spectrophotometers, SEC systems, gel imaging platforms Does this sound like you?
