Position Number:
350109 The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Duquesne University invites applications for a one-year Non-Tenure-Track position in Chemistry/Biochemistry, at the Teaching Assistant Professor level. Preference will be given to candidates who have the expertise to teach in one or more of the areas of Biochemistry, Analytical and Organic Chemistry. The standard teaching load for a Teaching Assistant Professor is 12 credit hours per semester of courses and laboratories as assigned by the Department Chair.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry and be available to teach beginning mid-August 2026. Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the University Community. Ability and willingness to contribute actively to the Mission of the University and to respect the Spiritan Catholic identity of Duquesne University.
