000 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology is inviting applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant and Associate Professor levels. We seek outstanding candidates with research expertise in molecular and cellular mechanisms of human health and diseases, with a clear potential to secure extramural funding for their research program, and who will synergize with the collaborative environment of the Department and the College of Medicine. Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD PhD degree(s). Applicant must submit a CV, research statement and cover letter.
Preferred Experience:
1. The successful candidate will independently carry out the research projects and efficiently and productively conduct complex experiments. 2. Ability to independently plan and perform the research projects without supervision. 3. Demonstrated skills in cellular, molecular, and biochemical techniques. 4. Ability to evaluate the experimental results and troubleshoot problems. 5. Ability to analyze the experimental data and write manuscripts for publication. 6. Ability to maintain an up-to-date, organized, and legible lab notebook that records all experiments and tests in detail. 7. Ability to train new postdoctoral fellows, technicians, and graduate students.
