Greenhouse Technician

We are looking for a Greenhouse Research Associate to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get into crop science and research. This role is a great fit for someone who is comfortable working in a greenhouse environment, has basic computer skills, and is eager to learn!

Primary responsibilities:

o Review and be familiar with study protocol requirements. o Trial site selection and plot layout. o Equipment calibration and test material application. o Sampling and/or evaluation of residue and/or efficacy trials. o Packing and shipping of study-related samples. o Site characterization sampling and shipping.

o Facility upkeep:

organization, cleaning, supplies inventory control. o Recognize situations when Good Laboratory Practices, Standard Operating Procedures or protocol requirements may not be able to be met and immediately communicate those situations to supervisory staff. o Document trial activities in appropriate study or facility logbooks. o Prepare and review raw data packages for submission to the Quality Assurance Unit for audit at trial completion. o Assist with written report summaries. Skills Crop clinical trial, Biology, Data Entry, Excel, Research, Quality Assurance, Botany, Chemistry, microbiology Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic computer skills Ability to work standing for extended periods of time Ok with working in hot greenhouse weather

Work Environment Greenhouse Hours:

M-F 7:30 AM-4:30 PM, summer trials may require a start time of 5:30 AM-6 AM due to the heat, very limited Saturday work, never working on Sunday Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
