Laboratory Technician (Evening Shift)
Schedule:
Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts

Wednesday -
Saturday Hours:
11:00 AM - 9:30
PM Pay:
$19.50/hour About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team! In this role, you'll prepare and process samples for microbiological testing while helping ensure accurate, high-quality laboratory results. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and takes pride in precision, organization, and teamwork.
Please note:
This position requires availability to work evenings and weekends. What You'll Do As a Laboratory Technician, you will: Prepare samples for laboratory analysis by weighing, recording, and blending samples Label plates and testing materials to ensure accurate sample identification Pipette samples into tubes and plates according to testing procedures Prepare agar, media, and broth used in microbiological and pathogen testing Incubate and monitor samples following established laboratory procedures Read plates and tubes to determine microorganism counts as required Set up laboratory equipment and testing materials Maintain accurate documentation using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Ensure materials are prepared for upcoming testing sequences Keep laboratory work areas, equipment, and materials clean and sanitized Participate in routine laboratory cleaning and sample retention procedures Follow all laboratory safety policies and quality standards Support continuous improvement initiatives and other laboratory projects as assigned
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of relevant work experience Ability to work evenings and weekends Basic computer skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment Strong time management and analytical skills
Preferred:
Previous laboratory, manufacturing, food production, or quality assurance experience Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Physical Requirements This position requires: Standing for extended periods throughout the shift Frequently lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds Performing repetitive hand movements and fine motor tasks Working with laboratory chemicals and equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) The ability to distinguish slight variations in color during testing procedures Benefits Eligible full-time employees receive: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous paid time off (PTO) 401(k) with company match Opportunities for growth and development
