Microbiology Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Microbiology Technician to join our dynamic research and development team. Duties Conduct microbiological assays and tests in accordance with established protocols, including culture preparation, incubation, and analysis of microbial growth. Support quality control initiatives by verifying the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results, ensuring adherence to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. Maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures, test results, and data collection using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Assist in the validation and calibration of laboratory equipment to meet FDA regulations and industry standards. Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and histology procedures to support research projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on research & development activities, providing microbiological insights for product improvement. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to animal physiology, veterinary terminology, and laboratory procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Skills Strong understanding of microbiology techniques, including culturing, staining, and microscopy. Knowledge of

GLP, CGMP, FDA

regulations, and quality control standards relevant to industrial laboratories. Experience with molecular biology methods such as

PCR, DNA/RNA

extraction, and analysis skills. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry and tracking. Ability to follow detailed laboratory procedures accurately while maintaining high standards of scientific research. Excellent analytical skills for interpreting complex data sets within research or clinical laboratory settings. Proficiency in veterinary terminology, animal physiology concepts, and histology techniques is a plus. Strong math skills for precise measurements, calculations, and data analysis in a research environment.
