Quality Specialist - Microbiology

Description Routine micro testing every day (work under sterile hood, spread plate, enrichments, sub-cultures, gram staining, coagulation tests, AI20E, fungi identification (fungal sub cultures and staining to ID), microscope work, gram staining, spread plate, membrane filtration) Quality control of micro supplies/growth promotion testing, water testing. Complete paperwork in SAP and by hand following SOP's and GMP's Perform environmental monitoring and swabbing in the manufacturing areas at scheduled times. Coordinate shipping of samples for outsourced testing to 3rd party labs. Skills Microbiology, Aseptic technique, Biology, Quality control, Gmp, Laboratory, Environmental monitoring, Cgmp Top Skills Details Microbiology,Aseptic technique,Biology Additional Skills & Qualifications BS Degree in Biology required (would consider masters level)

Skills:

Need to understand importance of aseptic technique

• really understand the importance of Cleaning/Disinfection Procedures (could work to come from healthcare or vet if they have micro classes or anything in bio field) Detailed documentation and reporting
• be able to capture this on the resume Additional experience with the following is a plus: gram staining, spread plate, membrane filtration
