Job Description

Biologist Flagstaff, AZ | Full-time, On-site | Salary negotiable Flagstaff firm is seeking to hire a mid-level Biologist to conduct field surveys, write biological reports, and work toward managing projects end to end, according to the company's procedures.
Main work tasks:
Conduct biological field surveys and habitat evaluations in remote terrain, applicant must be able to hike long distances in remote terrain and work outdoors in variable conditions Write biological evaluations to determine effects to special status species either federal or tribal listed species; applicant must have strong technical writing skills Prepare GIS maps to support findings. Work up to managing projects from task order to deliverable: scope, schedule, budget, agency coordination, and quality. Working with the NEPA team when necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, wildlife, botany, or natural resource science. 3-5 years conducting biological surveys and writing biological evaluations or similar compliance reports. Applicant will be required to obtain a permit from the Navajo Department of Fish and Wildlife to conduct biological evaluations on Navajo Lands. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth Pro, and field data collection tools. Valid U.S. driver's license; ability to pass motor vehicle and background checks.
Strongly preferred:
Field survey experience in the Four Corners or Southwest Current or prior Tribal biological survey permit or prior experience working on the Navajo Nation Experience with protocol-species survey experience or certifications and monitoring for Migratory Birds NEPA experience Able to work in a team environment What we offer: Competitive Salary, 401 K, and Health Care Stipend, Opportunity for raises/bonuses How to apply: Email a single PDF to info@etd-inc.
