Description:

100% onsite South San Francisco Manager strongly prefers someone local to the South San Francisco site, ideally within a 30-45 minute commute, due to the need for consistent onsite attendance and morning reliability. Preferred schedule is 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, with a strong need for punctuality. The team needs instruments ready by approximately 10:00 AM, so the worker must be onsite and reliable in the morning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on flow cytometry experience, with strong preference for experience supporting cell sorting, cytometer startup/shutdown, instrument monitoring, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting. This person should be comfortable working in a shared-resource or service-based lab environment where they are supporting scientists directly, resolving instrument issues, and helping users complete experiments successfully.

Job Details:

Responsible for operating and maintaining flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters, including instrument setup, quality control, monitoring runs, and routine maintenance. Designs and optimizes multiparameter panels for conventional and full-spectrum cytometry. Provides user training and support in a high-throughput shared lab environment while ensuring compliance with BSL-2+ safety standards.
