This full-time position involves technical work related to highway materials testing and geotechnical engineering. Responsibilities include assisting with geotechnical field operations involving conventional soil borings using standard penetration testing methods and performing subsurface investigations. The position includes field sampling and laboratory testing. Work is performed as part of a team, often outdoors in all weather conditions, to support subsurface drilling investigations, geophysical surveys, and other geotechnical field testing statewide. This role requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment and the ability to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting.
