Associate Scientist -
Flow Cytometry Position Overview :
We are seeking an Associate Scientist to support a high‑complexity Flow Cytometry laboratory experiencing increased sample volume. This is an on‑site opportunity ideal for candidates with hands‑on flow cytometry experience who are eager to grow within a highly regulated laboratory environment. Extensive training is provided during the first 2-4 months. Key Responsibilities Perform moderate to high‑complexity laboratory testing, including execution of cytometry‑based assays Run approximately 4-5 assays per day , ranging from smaller 2‑hour setups to complex 6-7 hour assays requiring heavy pipetting Evaluate specimen results in accordance with SOPs and document corrective actions using good documentation practices Maintain laboratory quality control to ensure accurate and timely reporting Assist with method validations, SOP implementation, and laboratory process improvements Support training of laboratory technicians and new staff on established techniques and new methods Collaborate with Project Managers regarding client requests, timelines, and potential testing delays Follow laboratory safety procedures and regulatory guidelines at all times Assist with ordering laboratory supplies to support consistent workflow Participate in continuing education and knowledge sharing within the team Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline 1+ year of hands‑on flow cytometry experience (high‑complexity laboratory setting preferred) Proficiency in pipetting techniques Experience with cytometry platforms such as BD FACSCanto, Cytek Aurora, or Luminex Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs in a regulated lab environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in Molecular Biology (considered transferable, though no molecular work is currently performed) Work Environment On-site laboratory role Evening shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Fast‑paced environment supporting increased testing volumes Heavy training period during initial months Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Marietta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
