Pay Range:
$35 to $40 an hour.

Job Summary:
We are hiring a Scientist to support genomics research programs through high quality laboratory execution and data generation. This role focuses on producing reliable genotyping datasets, operating advanced laboratory platforms, and ensuring strong quality standards. The ideal candidate will independently manage workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with scientific teams to meet research goals. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with genomics laboratory experience in a fast paced research environment. Strong analytical thinking, documentation, and operational excellence are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently execute genomic laboratory workflows to generate high quality genotyping data. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot microarray and automated liquid handling systems. Perform quality control reviews and investigate root causes of failed runs or inconsistent results. Document experimental methods, outcomes, and corrective actions according to laboratory standards. Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for technical and leadership teams. Maintain reagent inventory and support continuous laboratory operations. Assist with procedure improvements, workflow optimization, and validation of new technologies. Collaborate with cross functional scientific and bioinformatics teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or related discipline with relevant laboratory experience Or Master's degree in a related discipline with hands on laboratory experience. Experience executing and troubleshooting genomic laboratory workflows. Experience generating and reviewing genomic data quality metrics. Strong understanding of genetics and genomics principles. Experience with automated or high throughput laboratory systems. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with microarray genotyping platforms. Experience with NGS library preparation and sequencing workflows. Experience with nucleic acid quality control and sample tracking. Experience using LIMS systems. Prior experience in an industry or centralized genomics laboratory environment.
