PM Requirements:

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Wet Lab Scientist to join our Discovery Biology team. This role is central to a high-priority binder screening campaign focused on identifying and validating novel therapeutic candidates for T-cell-based therapies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in transitioning binder discovery into functional validation, with a strong emphasis on bench-level execution in a fast-paced drug discovery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute non-viral engineering of primary human T cells, including delivery of genetic material (mRNA or transposon-based DNA systems) using electroporation or nucleofection platforms
  • Monitor cell viability, recovery, and expression efficiency post-transfection
  • Perform and support high-throughput screening assays to evaluate binder affinity and function
  • Maintain and expand primary human T cells and Jurkat cell lines using strict aseptic techniques
  • Conduct multi-color flow cytometry (FACS) to assess receptor expression and phenotypic markers
  • Analyze cytometry data using tools such as FlowJo
  • Execute functional assays to evaluate T-cell activation, including:
  • Cytotoxicity assays (e.g., IncuCyte live-cell imaging, LDH release)
  • Cytokine profiling (ELISA, MSD, Luminex)
  • Proliferation assays (e.g., CFSE staining)
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Present data-driven updates during weekly team and campaign meetings
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on wet lab experience, preferably in an industry setting
  • Strong experience with aseptic technique and primary T cell isolation from PBMCs
  • Demonstrated expertise in flow cytometry acquisition and analysis (required)
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with non-viral transfection methods (e.g., electroporation, nucleofection)
  • Familiarity with liquid-handling robotics for high-throughput workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
