Job Description

Trans Ova Genetics, a leader in advanced reproductive technologies, is seeking a part time IVF Lab Tech Assistant to support our team in Fort Scott, KS. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced embryologists in a role that helps support the future of the livestock industry through innovative reproductive science. As an IVF Lab Tech Assistant, your core responsibility will be stripping embryos, which is a delicate, time-sensitive procedure that requires excellent focus, fine motor skills, and adherence to strict protocols in a sterile lab setting. RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform embryo stripping, evaluation, grading, freezing, and fertilization procedures Prepare and manage fertilization and culture plates Search for, grade, and mature oocytes Handle and prepare semen for IVF procedures Maintain accurate recordkeeping, data entry, and quality control documentation Assist with laboratory cleanliness, protocol compliance, and quality standards Manage supply inventory and general lab organization Drive company vehicle to pick up and deliver laboratory specimens as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required Prior hands-on laboratory experience preferred but not required Knowledge of the cattle industry preferred but not required Strong hand‑eye coordination and fine motor skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work efficiently within defined time frames Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a microscope in a lab setting
