Job Description
About This Role The purpose of this position is to support and lead research focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying attenuation of genetically recoded RNA viruses and to advance the development of safe and effective live-attenuated vaccine platforms for livestock pathogens. The successful candidate will investigate host-virus interactions, viral protein biosynthesis, and species-specific responses to codon-deoptimized viral constructs using molecular virology, cell culture, and surrogate virus systems. Worksite Description This position is On-site . All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. Succeed Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in virology, microbiology or a related discipline
- Strong data entry, time management and organizational skills
- Experience in cell/virus culture
- Experience with picornaviruses
