Fully onsite role in Framingham, MA (local candidates only). Sanofi is looking for a Scientist I to support its Cell Line Development group within a mammalian expression systems platform. The team focuses on improving CHO-based cell line generation processes used to produce recombinant biologics, with an emphasis on increasing productivity, consistency, and overall process efficiency. This is a hands-on laboratory role centered on mammalian cell culture and supporting molecular biology workflows in a fast-paced, collaborative R D environment. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and analyze studies supporting CHO cell line development and platform optimization Generate and maintain mammalian cell lines (transfection pools and clonal lines) expressing recombinant proteins Perform routine mammalian cell culture techniques including sterile technique, passaging, cell counting, and cryopreservation Support molecular biology workflows such as plasmid prep, PCR, and restriction enzyme digestion Run multiple parallel studies aimed at improving cell line development timelines and productivity Document experimental work and communicate results through reports, presentations, and team discussions Work closely with cross-functional teams in a structured, protocol-driven lab environment Basic Qualifications PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience in Biology, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology OR Bachelor's/Master's degree with equivalent industry experience Minimum 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience Strong experience in mammalian cell culture Preferred Qualifications Experience with CHO cell culture (strong plus) Suspension culture experience in biotech or pharmaceutical environments Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as gene editing, Gibson assembly, or copy number analysis Exposure to CRISPR or plasmid engineering workflows Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured protocols Effective communication and strong documentation practices in a lab setting
