- Worcester/Manchester (SOP-W/M) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) seeks a full-time faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences and education for students in the accelerated PharmD and graduate programs.
Requirements Required:
PhD. in Pharmacology, Physiology or a closely related discipline in the pharmaceutical/biomedical sciences (e.g., Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Immunology, Molecular Therapeutics) Prior teaching experience at a college/university level, preferably in a PharmD program; candidates applying at the Associate Professor rank must demonstrate a record of prior teaching in Pharmacology, Physiology or related disciplines in both small and large class settings Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success Excellent organizational and communication skills Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals) Record of scholarly activities commensurate with an academic appointment Evidence of teaching excellence Experience in and/or willingness to learn to use distant education (DE) and online teaching technology in live, synchronous classroom teaching between two campus locations and online audience, respectively Ability to work with/learn to use classroom learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard) Ability to work with/learn to use electronic examination/testing platforms (e.g., ExamSoft)Physical Requirements :
Work requires sitting, standing and walking as part of classroom instruction Must be able to use technology, such as typing and manipulating a mouse/mouse pad Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbsCompensation Hiring Range:
$100,000- $130,000
Assistant Professor:
$100,000- $110,000
Associate Professor:
$110,000- $120,000
Professor:
