Job Description Position Purpose:
Internships at
Veolia:
Gain hands-on experience in watershed management field work and data collection/ processing.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist with field data collection; water quality, forestry and wildlife. Assist with data processing for projects. Assist with physical maintenance/projects for ecological management and security. Assist with volunteer cleanups events.
Work Environment:
Environments vary by internship function from office to field to plant. Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern.
Qualifications Education/Experience/Background:
High School Diploma/GED is required. Working towards a four year degree and you have Junior status in Environmental Science, Biology, or forestry. 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required. Experience with google sheets. Experience water chemistry analysis.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication and analytical skill. Comfortable working on boats, in forests and around wildlife/hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record to travel within company territory.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Information Pay Range:
$20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
Benefits:
Interns are considered temporary employees. Medical and basic life insurance coverage is available to temporary employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week immediately following 60 days of service.
