Responsibilities:
Ensure that safety of PlanET employees, PlanET subcontractors, and customers is paramount by implementation of PlanET Safety Program rules. Advise customers during the Biological Commissioning phase with feed plans, sampling requirements and operations support. Lead the continued development, operation, and optimization of PlanET's established Biological Testing Laboratory, including testing workflows, reporting standards, quality practices, and customer-facing deliverables. Develop and grow biological laboratory service offerings for existing and prospective customers, including routine monitoring programs, diagnostic testing, performance assessments, and value-added technical support. Identify opportunities to expand laboratory revenue, improve customer retention, and support new business development through proactive communication of lab capabilities and biological service value. Collaborate with operations, service, sales, and engineering teams to package laboratory insights into practical recommendations, customer proposals, and ongoing biological support programs. Analyze data from operating plants and provide advice on feeding updates / operational changes as required Support sales and business development teams with feedstock analysis, BMP testing analysis and biological support. Act as a liaison to any 3rd party laboratory that is utilized and consultation with the clients. Ensures that all work performed meets required federal, state and local codes and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself. Other duties as assignedQualifications:
5+ years' + experience with biological support of anaerobic digester systems Travel up to 30% Prior supervisory or management experience preferred Experience in wastewater treatment or renewable energy is a plus Functional knowledge of biological commissioning of anaerobic digesters Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal; includes building relationships with team lead and department Manager. Strong organization skills and ability to adhere to tight timelines Travel during commissioning will be required Results driven with strong communication and organizational skills. A self-starter and an independent worker Ability to speak, read, and write German would be an asset. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products Must have valid driver's license and have the ability to work in Canada and theUnited States Working Conditions:
This job operates both indoors and outdoors in areas that are not environmentally controlled. This job may be exposed to weather or under cover and in close physical proximity with others. Exposure to hazardous conditions and equipment.Physical Requirements:
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines. Must be able to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours a day. Spend time bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, grasping, or twisting the body. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Pay:
$125,000.00- $150,000.
