Posting Number 2016458T Department Summary This position is responsible for conducting and assisting with research studies in the Auditory Neurophysiology Laboratory within the Department of Biological Sciences. Research in the lab involves measuring both neural responses to sound stimuli and behavioral responses related to perception of sound. The main duties of this position will be: training and testing rabbits on a sound perception task; collecting neural data from rabbits during daily experiments; pre-processing data using scientific software; assisting with surgical procedures on rabbits and giving them post-procedural care; and assisting undergraduate researchers with research. Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and less than 3 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering Basic understanding of fundamental concepts, practice and procedures and the ability to apply in varied situations.
