Research Biologist (78867) PA, Harrisburg - PA Department of Agriculture - Harrisburg, PA 17110 Apply Overview Position Type Full-Time Job Shift Day Education Level Bachelor's Degree Category Medical Technician & Support Apply Description MHM Solutions, a Centurion Health company, is proud to be the provider of healthcare staffing solutions to state agencies within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a full time Research Biologist to join our team at the Department of Agriculture - Harrisburg office located in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Participates in planning, design, execution, and management of research projects in a application based laboratory setting investigating the role of infectious agents in disease.

Funded through a research grant from Health Department the position focuses on gathering data, analyzing data to provide early detection and help device detection methods for disease diagnosis. Processes specimens, keeps inventory and detailed records. Performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
8am-4pm Monday- Friday Qualifications Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in biological science or related field with advanced courses or certificates in biotechnology or bioinformatics. Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Prior Lab Experience strongly desired. PCR experience Sequencing Next generation sequencing Ability to plan experiments are 3 key factors PCR, lab automation and sequencing skill targeting bacterial and viral infections a must Share job details to
