grant is used, in part, to fund pipeline programs at CSN to increase student persistence and success in the Biomedical Sciences. We receive funding to run the Biomedical Exploration Workshop, in the summer, and Student Empowerment Workshops each semester, fall and spring. The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) is Nevada INBRE's flagship undergraduate summer research program where continuing junior and senior level students work in a research lab for 10 weeks and complete an independent research project. CSN is directing INBRE funds to promote research through the UROP mechanism. Student workers for the

Assemble and organize educational materials as well as laboratory equipment/materials.
