Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Andrologist at our San Antonio, TX location. If you have the following qualifications and have a desire to work in a fertility laboratory, this may be a great fit for you. The Andrologist performs all the laboratory procedures in Reproductive Chemistry and Andrology required for an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle including hormone assay, preparation of semen samples for artificial insemination, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed. This position will also assist as support role for embryology.
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00 with weekend and holiday rotation (these hours vary)Duties Include:
Support the Lab Director with the day-to-day oversight of the andrology laboratory. Manage daily laboratory operations with minimal supervision. Maintain quality control and clinical data to support laboratory excellence and optimal patient outcomes. Perform and contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory procedures. Perform semen analysis, including count, motility, progression, morphology, and viability as indicated. Prepare and process sperm specimens for IUI and other treatment procedures, including sperm cryopreservation and survival testing. Prepare media, IUI paperwork, and chemistry reports; operate the Tosoh analyzer. Maintain accurate laboratory records and support compliance reviews, recertifications, and required data submissions. Promote efficient, high-quality laboratory operations.Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required , Bachelor's degree in medical or biological sciences strongly preferred. Andrology Laboratory Scientist (ALS) certification preferred.CLS, MT, TS
